The car-enthusiast comedy duo "Ogiyahagi" explores the "car history" of their guests in "Ogiyahagi's Car History: NO CAR, NO LIFE!" (BS Nippon Television, Saturdays at 9 PM). Actress Junko Sakurai will appear on the June 13th broadcast.
The first car Sakurai ever owned was the Mitsubishi Pajero, a representative off-roader of the 90s. He won it as a prize on a certain TV program, but he consulted his father about whether the car was too big for a novice driver.
Then her father suggested, "I'll drive the Pajero, so I'll buy Junko a small car instead," which made Ogiyahagi's two members grin and say, "Did her father pull a fast one?" The Pajero that she first owned became her father's car, and a different car came into Sakurai's possession. The "true first car" that Sakurai acquired is revealed.
Sakurai, who brilliantly portrayed Miyashita Kana, the most seductive office lady in the drama "Shomuni," revealed behind-the-scenes stories about the struggles she went through to prepare for the role, such as studying in the mirror to portray sexiness, and also shared anecdotes about filming the mystery drama "Omiyasan," in which she co-starred with Watase Tsunehiko.
Furthermore, she reveals the story of how she met her husband, whom she met through this project, a story she can now share. She reflects on that time in her beloved Audi A4 Avant, which has been by her side through major turning points in her life: marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, and raising children.
Finally, the Nissan Stagea, a legendary car that Sakurai has longed to drive again, made its appearance. He said he absolutely loves the "shape" of the Stagea, and immediately answered that his criteria for choosing a car is always a station wagon.
