An event for the anime " Jujutsu Kaisen, " based on the popular manga by Gege Akutami " (Shueisha), was held at "AnimeJapan 2025" at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo) on March 23rd, with Junya Enoki, who plays Yuji Itadori, Junya Enoki, who plays Satoru Gojo, Yuichi Nakamura , who plays Suguru Geto , and Anna Nagase, who plays Amano Riko, appearing. They talked about the behind-the-scenes recording of " Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu," the second season of the TV anime, which is also attracting attention as a movie compilation will be released on May 30th.
At the event, a pre-event survey was conducted among fans, titled "That scene you want to see in the theater!" The voice actors spoke about the three scenes selected from "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu." The first scene selected was the scene where Tennai, who usually behaves bravely in the Neboshimiya, confesses her true feelings in front of Geto. In the pre-event survey, comments included, "It's a scene that makes me cry no matter how many times I watch it. I think it will be painful to see it in the theater," and "Tennai's appearance made my heart ache." Nagase reflected on the recording at the time, saying, "This scene was the most nerve-wracking scene to act in. Unlike the lively feeling of Riko in the first half, this was a scene where she was telling someone for the first time the deep parts of her heart that she had never told anyone, so I tried to act it carefully."
The second scene chosen was when Geto, troubled and cornered, takes a shower and declares, "You monkey...". In the survey, opinions such as "It was impressive because it reminded me of the moment when he started to go his own way with his friends at the technical college" were introduced. Sakurai said, "I wonder when he started to have doubts and contradictions within himself. I think they kept piling up higher and higher until it finally burst. As the surrounding sounds got louder, I tried to hold back as much as possible on the final line, "You monkey...", and then said it as if it just slipped out at the end."
The third scene was when Gojo told a young Fushiguro, "Grow strong so you don't leave me behind." The survey commented, "In addition to the beauty of the image, you can feel Gojo's loneliness and strength as he looks to the future even after the bitter end of his youth." Nakamura reflected on this scene, saying, "Until then, I was confident that I could do anything if I was strong, but through these events, I realized that in the end, I can't do it on my own. I need some strong allies, and what's interesting is that he comes here after hearing Fushiguro Toji's words. Since the first season, Gojo has not often appeared in really important battles, but I felt that he was giving those around him a task in reverse."
At the event, the official trailer for " Jujutsu Kaisen Compilation - Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu" was released, and it was announced that Tatsuya Kitani's song "Ao no Sumika (Acoustic ver.)" will be played as the theme song. "Ao no Sumika" is the opening theme of the second season of the TV anime "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu", and an arranged version will be played as the theme song in the movie compilation.
Nakamura commented, "(The theme song "Ao no Sumika") is a wonderful song, and it was used lavishly in this short series, so I'm happy that they changed the version like this time and many people can listen to it at the theater." Nagase commented on his impressions of the trailer, "During the recording, I only saw the two of them with Amanai, so the two of them in "Tamaori" felt like completely different people. I'm looking forward to seeing the story back to back in the movie compilation."
At the end of the event, Enoki commented, "When I saw the official trailer for the first time, I thought the acoustic version of the theme song was effective. I think it makes the sadness of the three characters' youth shine even more. I hope you enjoy the great sound and background music."
Nakamura said, "I think you'll discover something new by watching it again. The official trailer I just showed you is so amazing that it's hard to believe it's originally from a TV series. I myself have always wanted to see the whole series in the theater someday. I hope you enjoy it again."
Sakurai said, "Not only is the screen large, but the sound is wonderful, something that you can't experience at home, so we've designed new specifications, so I hope you enjoy it. I recently watched the film again, and because I'm familiar with it so much, Geto's line, 'We are the strongest,' resonated with me with such sadness. I hope that people will experience new aspects and things they hadn't noticed before at the cinema."
Nagase sent a message saying, "I am honored to be involved in this production. During recording, I met Shimizu Risa, who plays Kuroi, and she said to me, 'I'll protect you,' which made a big impression on me. After watching the anime, I thought it was an amazing work. I hope everyone will enjoy the movie version as well."
