On the December 21st broadcast of the idol group Sakurazaka46's signature radio show, "Sakurazaka46: This is Yurakucho Hoshizora Broadcasting Station" (Nippon Broadcasting System, Sundays at 11pm), it was announced that third-generation member Nagisa Kojima will become the fifth main personality. She will take over as main personality from the January 4th, 2026 broadcast.
The program has been running since 2016, when Sakurazaka46 was still known as Keyakizaka46. Starting in June 2022, second-generation member Rina Inoue will serve as the fourth main personality, and will be working on email projects with her partner Sakurazaka46 members.
It was announced on the program on the 21st that junior member Kojima will take over as Inoue's successor. The day featured a "Main Personality Handover Ceremony," in which Kojima asked Inoue about the secrets of radio.
Kojima revealed that she was worried about the free talk, saying, "I'm not the outdoorsy type, so I was worried that I would have to go out and look for material," and Inoue, looking back at a free talk she previously showed on the show about "when I got my wisdom teeth removed," advised, "Even really trivial everyday things can surprisingly resonate with listeners." She then gave him a cheer, saying, "You're extremely reliable, so I'm relieved and looking forward to it."
