It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime " Blue Box ," based on the popular manga by Kouji Miura currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), will be broadcast on TBS in the fall of 2026. It has also been announced that a series of new visuals, "Blue Visuals," based on the theme of "scenes that moved Chinatsu's heart," will be released. The first visual features a beautiful snow-covered landscape and striking straight footprints.
The announcement was made at Jump Festa 2026, held at Makuhari Messe (Mihama Ward, Chiba City). On stage, Taiki Inomata Chiba, who plays Shoya Chiba, Reina Chinatsu Kano, who plays Reina Ueda , Akari Kito , who plays Hina Hina Chono , and Chiaki Kobayashi, who plays Tadashi Kasahara, appeared and took part in a quiz looking back on the first season.
Chiba said, "I had the opportunity to have many people tell me that they watched ' Blue Box.' I was also approached by various voice actors. I think there will be new characters, so I would like to carefully create them together with my new colleagues. Please look forward to the broadcast in the fall."
"Blue Box" began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in April 2021. Set at Sakaeme High School, a powerhouse of sports from junior high to high school, the story is about a youthful club love story in which Taiki Inomata Taiki, a member of the boys' badminton club, falls in love with Chinatsu Kano, a senior member of the girls' basketball club. 23 volumes of the manga have been released, with a total circulation of over 9.4 million copies.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2024 to March 2025.
