It has been announced that "Blade & Bastard," the popular light novel series written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by so-bin, will be adapted into an anime in 2027. The anime staff has been announced, with Tomoki Kobayashi directing and Toshihisa Arakawa handling series composition. Shinpu will be producing the anime. The first teaser PV, featuring anime footage, has also been released on YouTube.
"Blade & Bastard" is a dark fantasy series written by Kumo Kagyu, known for "Goblin Slayer," with illustrations by so-bin, known for "Overlord," and is a labyrinthine adventure story set in the world of the classic RPG "Wizardry."
The anime will Makoto Furukawa as Iarmus, the man who rose from the dead; Tomori Kusunoki as Garbage, the silent female swordswoman; Daiki Yamashita as Lalaja, the novice thief; Saori Hayami as Ainikki, the priest who governs life and death; and Shion Wakayama as Belkanan, the large and timid magician.
