It has been announced that "O-PARCO-JIN 5 Okatai Rock Opera 'Rainy Courtroom Seats, Barefoot Women...'," written and directed by Kankuro Kudo and performed in November and December, will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW in March next year. The play, starring actors Sadao Abe and Takako Matsu, tells the story of a married couple in the midst of divorce mediation, and is the fifth installment of the rock opera series "O-PARCO-JIN," co-produced by the theater company Otona Keikaku and PARCO Theater.
The setting is a courtroom. Sadao Abe, a musical actor, and Takako Matsu, an enka singer, play a married couple in the midst of divorce mediation. The pair have made waves by playing a married couple for the third time in the TV Asahi drama series, "Shiawase na Kekkon" (July 2025), following their roles in the films "Dream Sellers" (2012) and "Farewell to Kamoraba Village" (2015).
Other performers include Kazunobu Mineta of the rock band Gin Nang Boyz, actors Hiroki Miyake, Ryoyo Arakawa, and Kodai Kurosaki, and comedian Takashi Fujii. The music was provided by Tomoyasu Uehara of the rock band Dohatsuten and Mineta of Gin Nang Boyz.
After performances in Tokyo and Osaka, the play concluded with a final performance in Sendai on December 21. The play, which premiered at PARCO Theater (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo) on November 19, will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW.

A married couple, a musical actor (Abe) and an enka singer (Matsu), have decided to divorce. They have two sons, an eldest (Mineta) and a second (Kurosaki), and are embroiled in a protracted court battle over custody of the eldest. The older brother has a developmental disorder, but he may be a musical genius... The couple, who firmly believe in this possibility, try every trick in the book to gain public sympathy, and use past embarrassments and scandals to raise or lower his popularity. The older brother and the innocent younger brother grow up feeling the pressure of parents who have excessive expectations of their children. Where does the future of this family lead?
