The character gap visual and character PV of Shiraya Tamaki, who appears in the TV anime "Rock wa Lady no Tashinamideshite," based on the manga by Fukuda Hiroshi currently being serialized in "Young Animal" (Hakusensha), have been released. Tamaki is a childhood friend of Kurogane Otoha, and is known as a guitarist with superb technique, but he also plays the bass. Natsumi Fujiwara will be the voice actor.
The "character gap visual" shows her in the uniform of Kuroyuri Girls' Academy, a sister school of Sakuragokoro Girls' Academy, where Lilisa Suzunomiya and her friends attend, with a ladylike appearance and a demure smile, but also with a fierce expression of emotion that is the complete opposite of her usual demeanor. While she is a long-haired, mysterious lady, she is also playing the bass vigorously with her hair flying, raising attention as to why Tamaki, who is known as a guitarist with superb technique, is playing the bass.
The character PV begins with scenes of Tamaki's everyday life as a member of the Kuroyuri Girls' Academy's Tea Ceremony Club and practitioner of the tea ceremony, and the second half is an impressive scene in which she is shown hurling harsh and heartless words at the others, calling them "conformist pigs!"
"Rock wa Lady no Tashinamideshite" is a manga by Fukuda, who is known for "The World in 5 Minutes" and "Tojo Senjin!! Mushibugyo", and is a youth story with the theme of "young lady x rock" that began serialization in "Young Animal" in October 2022. Lilisa Suzunomiya a young lady at her school, meets Kurogane Otoha, a highly skilled young lady drummer who attends the same school, and rekindles her love for rock and begins to enjoy band activities.
The anime will be directed by Shinya Watada and produced by BN Pictures. It will be broadcast nationwide on TBS every Thursday at 11:56 pm starting April 3rd.
