The movie version of the anime " Jujutsu Kaisen " based on the manga by Gege Akutami that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), " Jujutsu Kaisen 0" (directed by Sunghoo Park) will be broadcast on MBS and TBS from 7:50 pm on March 19th. The audio commentary will be provided by Kendo Kobayashi, Akira Kawashima from the comedy duo "Kirin", and Gaku from "Vacuum Jessica". The show will be available for viewing on TVer.
MBS and TBS will be broadcasting anime-related programs titled "Anime Night" from 7pm on the same day. Before the broadcast of "Jujutsu Kaisen 0," the program "Snow Man Daisuke Sakuma Anime Song Encyclopedia," hosted by popular group Snow Man's Sakuma Daisuke, will be broadcast from 7pm. This will be the first time that Sakuma will be the sole MC of a primetime program, and he will be introducing Japanese anime theme songs and timeless, nationally loved anime theme songs along with anime footage.
"Jujutsu Kaisen 0" is a prequel to the first season of the TV anime, and is based on "Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School" from volume 0 of the original manga. In this episode featuring the generation of students one year older than Yuji Itadori and his classmates, Satoru Gojo transfers high school student Yuta Okkotsu, who wishes for his own death, to Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College. The story revolves around Okkotsu and Inorimoto Rika, Okkotsu's childhood friend who was involved in an accident and turned into a vengeful spirit, and tells the story of love and curses.
It was released on December 24, 2021 and was a huge hit, grossing approximately 26.5 billion yen worldwide, and was also a hot topic when it was selected for the Outstanding Animation Film Award at the 45th Japan Academy Awards.
