The main cast of the TV anime "Fermat's Cooking," based on the latest work by Yugo Kobayashi, who is known for the soccer manga "Aoashi," has been announced. Ryosuke Tomita will play Gaku Kitada, a failed math genius, and Taito Ban will play Kai Asakura, a charismatic young chef. Visuals of Kitada Gaku and Asakura Kai have also been released.

Saka said, "Umi becomes a key character in the story as he meets Takeru by chance and becomes interested in him, leading him on the path to cooking. Umi is a young, genius chef and owner of a one-star restaurant, but his actions and words are somewhat insane and outrageous. He is a harsh person who gives Take difficult tasks and forces him to face reality. However, behind his madness lies his core, which is that he will "put his entire life on the line to cook," and I feel that he is a person who has many times more "passion" for cooking than most people. This work is based on the theme of cooking and mathematics, and while the main character is Takeru, played by Tomita, I believe that Umi is definitely the "other main character." A stage event for the series will be held on March 23rd at AnimeJapan 2025, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo), with Tomita and Saka appearing on stage.
"Fermat no Ryori" is a manga that has been serialized in "Monthly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) since September 2018.
