Umi Shinonome, who is active as a gravure idol and YouTuber, will make a guest appearance in the 9th episode, "Tamagiku Doro: Hell of Love" (broadcast on March 2nd), of the NHK Ryusei Yokohama drama "UNBOUND (Berabou)" (General, Sunday 8pm and others), starring Yokohama Ryusei. This will be the first time that Shinonome, who has been talked about as a "two-sword gravure idol," will appear in a drama.
Shinonome plays Hisa, a dexterous young woman who lives in the same tenement house as Oda Shinnosuke (played by Inowaki Kai). "I'm honored and delighted that my first drama appearance is in a taiga drama. Before filming began, I had a teacher teach me the manners and etiquette of women in the town in the Edo period, such as how to walk and sit," she said.
