The TV drama series " Changes of Heart " (TV Asahi, Saturdays 11pm), co-starring Kaito Miyachika of the popular group "Travis Japan" and actress Wakana Aoi, has wrapped up filming.
The two actors, who played childhood friends turned lovers Akiyama Hijiri and Hoshi Koyori, wrapped up filming on the same day. They gave each other bouquets of flowers to their "partners" who ran through the filming period together, and finished filming with smiles on their faces. Miyachika, who played his first lead role in a drama, commented, "I ran to the end! Of course I feel lonely, but I'm really happy to have been able to participate in this work with everyone, including Aoi Wakana." Looking back on the filming period when he and Miyachika worked together, Aoi said, "We continued to film with the same perspective and facing the same direction."
Miyachika responded, "It was inevitable that the atmosphere would become like that of childhood friends, and Aoi-san was so warm and welcoming, so I was able to be myself on set without having to worry about anything. I'm glad the two of us got to play the roles of Sei and Koa," and added that the pair were in perfect sync until the very end, creating a relaxed atmosphere on set.
Regarding the highlights of the final episode, Miyachika said, "In the next episode, episode 9, the issue of Sei's transfer comes up. It will be exciting to see what happens to the long-distance relationship between the two who were the closest childhood friends. The two have a strong love for each other, but how will the actual distance bring about changes in the emotional distance...? I hope you will pay attention to that. I think the shape of a happy ending is different for each person. How will that be portrayed in this work, and will you empathize with it? I hope you will enjoy the show while thinking about where the happy ending that is unique to ' Changes of Heart' will lead."
Aoi appealed, "I think episodes 9 and 10 are the ones that have the biggest changes in the flow of the drama, and I feel like I was emotionally upset while acting. How the two characters talk to each other, how they face each other and move forward...I think the content will be something that viewers can relate to, so please watch warmly until the end."
