Former AKB48 member Asuka Kuramochi announced on June 27th that she had gotten married, updating her Twitter account (@asuka_k911).
Kuramochi announced, "I have an announcement to make. I got married!" She continued, "Today, I was given the opportunity to make the announcement in the ring of Katano Amanogawa Pro Wrestling. And I asked my god, Kenta Kobashi, to be a witness, and he warmly watched over us," and uploaded a photo of herself with former professional wrestler Kenta Kobashi, who she asked to be a witness on her marriage registration.
She wrote, "From now on, I will cherish each and every job, with even greater gratitude to everyone who supports me!"
Kuramochi also posted a video of the surprise announcement of her marriage in the ring. In the video, she announced, "I, Asuka Kuramochi, have gotten married." Regarding her partner, she revealed that "he has absolutely nothing to do with professional wrestling or entertainment."
Kuramochi was born on September 11, 1989, and is 36 years old and from Kanagawa Prefecture. She was a member of AKB48 from 2007 and graduated from the group in August 2015. Since then, she has been active in a wide range of fields, including dramas and variety shows. Her father is former professional baseball player Akira Kuramochi.
