It has been announced that actor Ryota Miura, the eldest son of former Japanese national soccer team player Kazuyoshi Miura, will play his first leading role in the film "Fake Out!" (directed by Kei Horie), which will be released on June 20th. He plays an innocent young man who is tossed about in the midst of a whirlpool of overlapping intentions, seeking a happy future with his girlfriend.
The film is a crime entertainment film themed around AI. The story follows the protagonist, Makoto Takashima (played by Miura), who is trying to repay the huge debt his father left behind, and gets caught up in a fierce battle of deception over an AI stock price forecast program in order to repay the debt.
The story unfolds in the style of Akira Kurosawa's "Rashomon," depicting the same timeline from the perspectives of three different characters. Yui, the heroine and key figure in the story, is played by actress Rina Asakawa.
Miura said, "I am extremely honored to have been chosen to play the lead role in this film. We met director Horie by chance on another project and hit it off, and we had been talking about someday working together on a project, but it was a dream come true that we now have the opportunity to work together in this capacity as the lead.
