The key visual and promotional video for the new original anime "Maebashi Witches" by Bandai Namco Filmworks' SUNRISE Studios have been released. The story is set in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, and follows the coming-of-age story of five high school girls aspiring to become witches as they face various troubles and grow. The visual has a "song" theme, and shows the witches singing and dancing to the background of the Witchverse (magical space). It is accompanied by the copy, "A place where we, with all our flaws, can become invincible."
The main cast of the film will be Sakura Kasuga as Yuina Akagi, Hinano Sakikawa as Azusa Niizato, Rena Motomura as Kyoka Kitahara, Haruka Minami as Choco Mimata, and Honami Momose as Mai Kamiizumi. Tomokazu Sugita will play Keroppe, a mysterious familiar who scouts five high school students to become apprentice witches. Junichi Yamamoto will be the director.
It was also announced that the anime will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other channels from April 6th.
