The 10th episode of the drama series "Galaxy Vote" (Kansai TV/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10 PM), starring actress Haru Kuroki, aired on June 22nd. The final episode will air on June 29th, and viewers are already calling for a spin-off.
◇The following contains spoilers.
Episode 10 ended with Mari (played by Kuroki) about to read an investigation report concerning Dean Niizaneri, which had been included in a "letter of accusation" that had been sent to her father, Takaomi (played by Bando Yajuro).
The preview video for the final episode showed Akari (Noro) and the other candidates making their "final appeals" on the last day of the election campaign, along with captions such as "The truth behind the letter that exposed the corruption" and "An unexpected event two days before the decisive battle." At the end, the words "And then, the fateful day" and an image of Mari were shown.
On social media, comments such as "It's the final episode next week - I'm sad," "I want to see more! Maybe a spin-off," "I'd love to see a spin-off focusing on each of the characters," and "It would be great if they did something like Igarashi (Kenji Iwatani) eating alone, or a close look at Shizukuishi's (Makiya Yamaguchi) day off, or Taiki's (Masayuki Ino) motorcycle trip" spread.
The drama is an "election entertainment" story in which Mari Hoshino recruits Akari Tsukioka, a bar owner with no political experience, to run for governor of Tokyo, and takes on the gubernatorial election as her campaign strategist.
