It has been revealed that Mukai Koji, a member of the popular group "Snow Man," will star in the Thai drama "Dating Game (working title)." The drama is a boys' love (BL) romantic comedy that will be shot entirely in Thailand, and Mukai, who is half Japanese and half Thai, will be the first Japanese actor in the history of Thai dramas to take on the challenge of acting entirely in Thai. He will co-star with talented Thai actor March Chuttawut Pattaragampong.
Avex Pictures is in charge of planning and production, and the script will be written by a creative team including Maya Piangpaitoong Satrawaha, who has worked on Thai BL dramas such as "Cutie Pie" and "Close Friend."
The series will be shot in Thailand this spring and is scheduled to be broadcast in the country this year. There are also plans for a global release, including to Japan and other parts of Asia.
Mukai commented, "I am very excited to be able to announce this project in Thailand. I hope that everyone will enjoy this story, and I am currently working hard to practice my Thai in preparation for filming!"
