The latest in the Monpoke picture book series, the official Pokemon brand for babies, Pikachu and the Sea Treasure Hunt, was released by Shogakukan on January 29th. This is the third in the Monpoke picture book series, which has sold over 450,000 copies in total, and is priced at 1,100 yen.
The theme of this work is "treasure hunting". The story depicts Pikachu and his friends exploring the island with their new friend Piplup in search of treasure. The picture book was written by Matsuori Kako, a picture book author known for "You, the Treasure" and "The Cafe of the Bunny". It is a book where you can enjoy the adorable Pokemon.
Following on from the previous work, this work will also feature audio readings by popular voice actors. This time, voice actress Kotono Mitsuishi will be in charge, and the audio will be distributed on a special website.
