The first episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " Mikami Sensei " (Sundays at 9pm), starring actor Tori Matsuzaka , was broadcast on January 19th, and got off to a good start with an average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) of 12.2% for households and 7.5% for individuals.
The drama is an original "great reversal story of education revival" in which Takashi Mikami (played by Matsuzaka), a bureaucrat in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, who wants to change the Japanese education system, takes to the podium at a private high school and stands up to authority while guiding 18-year-old high school students living in the Reiwa era.
In the first episode, Takashi Mikami, a bureaucrat in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, begins a lecture in front of the 29 students of Class 2, Year 3 of Rintoku Gakuin. A question posed by Mikami creates ripples that motivate the students... and so the story unfolds.
