It was revealed on January 20th that the weekly average viewership rating (households) for the 15th week of " Omusubi " (NHK Asadora TV, Monday to Saturday 8am and others), starring Kanna Hashimoto, entitled "This is Our Way of Life" (January 13th to 17th) was 12.5% (calculated from a survey by Video Research, Kanto region).
" Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" in which the heroine, born in 1989, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist, with the "gal spirit" of valuing one's individuality at all times.
In the 15th week, in the spring of 2010, Yui (Hashimoto) and Shoya (Sano Hayato) begin a happy married life together, working together. However, one day, Yui realizes that she is not feeling well. She continues to work, hiding this from those around her, but when Shoya notices that Yui has a fever, she takes her to the hospital for a diagnosis. It turns out that she has nephritis, but she also discovers that she is pregnant.
Yui is hospitalized for a while, where she meets dietitian Saijo Sayuri (Fujiwara Norika) and is deeply inspired by her guidance.
Then the Great East Japan Earthquake occurs. Yui's classmate from her days at a nutrition vocational school, Kasumi (Yuna Taira), joins a joint relief team in Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture, as a support dietitian. Yui is told about the situation in the disaster area by Kasumi.
Then, on January 17, 2012, 17 years after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, Yui, with renewed resolve, told Shoya, "I want to become a registered dietitian like Saijo-san"... and so the story unfolded.
