"Nella" Takako Matsu 's confession from the drama " Shiawase na Kekkon " becomes a hot topic (spoilers included)

The second episode of the drama series " Shiawase na Kekkon " (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm) starring actor Sadao Abe was broadcast on July 24th. The confession of Nella (played by Takako Matsu ), a wife harboring a secret, attracted much attention.

The drama is an original work by Shizuka Oishi , the screenwriter who also wrote the popular NHK Taiga drama " Dear Radiance (Hikaru Kimi e) " last year. Harada Kotaro (Abe), a lawyer who has always remained single, is attracted to Suzuki Nera, a mysterious high school art teacher, and they suddenly get married, but Nera has a serious secret that has her under police watch. Although it is a family drama, it is billed as a "marriage suspense" that questions the love between husband and wife.

A reinvestigation begins on the case in which Nella's ex-fiance, Yuto Nuse ( Reo Tamaoki), died 15 years ago. When Kotaro learns that the police are suspicious of Nella, he asks his fellow lawyer Yoshio Usui (Kazuyoshi Komatsu) to investigate. After learning the details of the case, Yoshio advises them to get a divorce immediately.

When Kotaro returns home, he tries to get the truth from Nerla directly, but she says, "Do you think I'm a murderer? I always thought you'd find out someday, but I didn't think it would happen so soon..." and begins talking about the incident 15 years ago.

Nella, who claims to have lost her memory of the incident, confessed, "I don't know if I killed him or not, but I think I'm the one who ruined him." She said, "From the day he died, I decided not to seek my own hopes or happiness," and revealed that she quit her job restoring paintings and took a job as a teacher, which she hated.

However, after meeting Kotaro, the scenery she saw changed, she confessed, "From the day I met Kotaro, I wanted to live again. I wanted to be happy again." "But as soon as I had hope for the future, what happened 15 years ago came back to haunt me. It took Kotaro away from me. It took away my happiness... I guess I shouldn't have had hope after all. It was a mistake to try to be happy."

In response, Kotaro encouraged his wife by saying, "I'm a former prosecutor, so I can see the general picture. Just because an investigation has been relaunched doesn't mean that new evidence has come to light." He then embraced his wife and said, "Let's do our best to live together. Let's do our best, Nella."
