Yani Neko:The anime comes in two versions: the "on-air version" broadcast on terrestrial television, and the "Evil Dragon Liberation version" which respects the director's original intentions.

It has been announced that two versions of the TV anime "Yani Neko," based on the manga by Nyannyan Factory currently serialized in "Young Magazine" (Kodansha), will be broadcast and streamed: the "On-Air Version" and the "Evil Dragon Liberation Version." The "On-Air Version" will be broadcast on terrestrial television, while the "Evil Dragon Liberation Version," which respects the directorial intent of the original work in some episodes, will be available on AT-X and select streaming services.

"Yani Neko" is a manga depicting the daily life of "the most worthless cat." It has been serialized in the magazine since April 2023. The anime is directed by Taku Kimura, with Takashi Aoshima writing the script, Riki Matsuura designing the characters, and Keiichi Suzuki composing the music. It is being produced by Bibury Animation Studios.

Yuko Natsuyoshi will play Yanineko, and the cast also includes Misato Matsuoka as Yakuneko, Yurie Funato as Hameneko, Ayaka Shimizu as Kansaineko, Shiori Izawa as Aruneko, Riko Akechi as Ochinpo Tatsuro, and Tetsu Inada as the landlord. It will air on TOKYO MX and BS11 every Thursday at 12:30am starting July 2.
