The plastic model kit "VSMS 1/100 Dakkas the Black Knight" (Volks) of Dakkas the Black Knight, a "black knight" who appears in the popular manga "Five Star Stories" (KADOKAWA) by Mamoru Nagano, was exhibited at the Volks booth at the "62nd All Japan Model Hobby Show," a model exhibition being held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo).
The kit incorporates all of Volks' know-how in creating 3D models from "Five Star Stories" to date, and is a challenge to create the "ultimate modeling expression" with a simple yet innovative moving mechanism made up of parts. The original author, Nagano, has proposed a completely new "twin swing mechanism" to express the unique twisting motion. The figure stands approximately 24.4cm tall. Priced at 8,470 yen. On sale from October 12th. The second release, the Bursting Doll (Hawkhead), and the third release, Dee Kaiserin, will also be released in the future.
The 62nd All Japan Model & Hobby Show will be held on October 11th, with the event open to related parties, and the 12th and 13th open to the public. Tickets are 1,200 yen on the day and 1,000 yen in advance. Free for junior high school students and younger.
