The 62nd All Japan Model & Hobby Show, a model exhibition, opened on October 11th at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo). At the Bandai Spirits booth, a number of new Gunpla (plastic models) products from the popular anime series Gundam were announced at once.
One of the most talked about products is the RG 1/144 Shining Gundam, a Gunpla model of the Shining Gundam from Mobile Fighter G Gundam. It has a gimmick that allows it to transform into Super Mode. Details will be announced in the future.
New products from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED series, whose theatrical version Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM was a huge hit, were also announced. The Sword Impulse Gundam Spec II will be released as part of the RG series, the RG 1/144 Sword Impulse Gundam Spec II. It recreates the red machine and is priced at 4,180 yen.
Optional parts for the "RG 1/144 Akatsuki Gundam (Steller's Sea Eagle Equipment)", "RG 1/144 Akatsuki Gundam Shiranui Pack & HG 1/144 Zeus Silhouette Connection Parts" were also unveiled. In addition to being able to equip the Shiranui Pack, it can also be connected to the "HG 1/144 Zeus Silhouette". The price is 4,400 yen.
New products for "Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem of Revenge", which will be available on Netflix from October 17th, were also announced. Gunpla models of the Zaku IIF LeShon's and the Unidentified Zaku II LeShon's, "HG 1/144 Zaku II F LeShon's & Unidentified Zaku II LeShon's (Requiem of Revenge)", will be released.
A set of replica parts for Zaku II F-type Chubs' and Kayle's models and the unidentified Zaku II Solari's model, "HG 1/144 Zaku II F-type Chubs' and Kayle's models + Unidentified Zaku II Solari's model replica parts set (Requiem of Revenge)" will also be released. It will be sold on Bandai Namco Group's official shopping site, "Premium Bandai".
A Gunpla model of the "silver Gundam" Delta Zain, which appears in the VR video "Mobile Suit Gundam: Phantom of the Silver Gray", "HG 1/144 Delta Zain", was also unveiled. Details will be announced in the future.
