It has been announced that the theatrical version of the popular anime series "Aikatsu!", "Aikatsu! The Movie" (released in 2014), will be shown again to commemorate its 10th anniversary. Titled "Aikatsu! The Movie: Memorial Encore", it will be screened for three weeks only at cinemas nationwide from November 29th.
The "Aikatsu!" series brand shop, "Aikatsu! Design Mart BY Aikatsu! Style", will be selling a reproduction series of goods that were sold when "Aikatsu!" The Movie was released, as well as new products to commemorate the revival screening.
The "Aikatsu!" series is a project that began in October 2012 and depicts girls striving to become top idols. The first TV anime, "Aikatsu!", aired from October 2012 to March 2016, the second, "Aikatsu Stars!", from April 2016 to March 2018, and the third, "Aikatsu Friends!", from April 2018 to September 2019. "Aikatsu On Parade!", a TV anime that brings together characters from all the previous series, aired from October 2019 to March 2020. "Aikatsu Planet!", a fusion of live-action drama and anime, aired from January to June 2021.
The movie version of the anime, "Aikatsu! 10th STORY ~STARWAY to the Future~", which commemorated the 10th anniversary of the series, was released in January 2023 and became a hot topic. A new project, "Aikatsu Academy!", was launched in July this year.
