The cover illustration for "Attack on Titan Magazine 15th Anniversary Issue" (Kodansha), a magazine to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the serialization of Isayama Hajime's popular manga "Attack on Titan," has been released. The newly drawn illustration by Isayama features Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Levi in suits. It was also announced that the magazine will come with a special bonus of stickers of Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Levi, Erwin, Hange, and others using Isayama's newly drawn illustrations. The stickers will be of the "school caste version," and the newly drawn illustrations will be released at a later date on the official Attack on Titan 15th anniversary account on Twitter.
Seven "related parties" who will appear in the magazine's feature "Episodes that made you deeply absorbed in Attack on Titan out of the 139 chapters of the original manga" were also announced. The issue will feature "episodes that they were deeply engrossed in," selected by Isayama, Kaji Yuki who played Eren in the anime, Ishikawa Yui who played Mikasa, Inoue Marina who played Armin, Okammiya Raimu who played Eren in the stage play "Attack on Titan -the Musical-," Nomura Yusuke who is in charge of illustrations for the manga "Blue Lock," and Kawakubo Shintaro, editor-in-chief of "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (same publisher).
The "Attack on Titan Magazine 15th Anniversary Issue" will be the same size as "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (same publisher) in which "Attack on Titan" was serialized, and the color pages and title page will be printed as they were when the series was first serialized. It will go on sale on November 6th. The price is 990 yen.
"Attack on Titan" is a manga that depicts humanity fighting a hopeless battle against giants who wield overwhelming power. This is Isayama's debut work, which began serialization in September 2009 as the inaugural title of "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" and aired its final episode in April 2021.
Season 1 of the TV anime aired from April to September 2013, Season 2 from April to June 2017, and Part 1 of Season 3 from July to October 2018. Part 2 of Season 3 aired from April to June 2019, Part 1 of the final chapter, "The Final Season," aired from December 2020 to March 2021, Part 2 from January to April 2022, the final episode (Part 1) in March 2023, and the final episode (Part 2) in November 2023.
