The 35th episode of the NHK Taiga drama "To You, Shining" (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring Yoshitaka Yuriko, titled "The Empress's Tears," will air on September 15th. Michinaga (Emoto Tasuku) goes to Mt. Ontake with his son Yorimichi (Watanabe Keisuke) to pray for the pregnancy of the Empress Shoshi (Migami Ai).

However, they are plagued by a steep journey and bad weather, and have difficulty reaching their destination, Kinpusen-ji Temple, when Ise (Miura Shohei) makes some ominous moves with his warriors. Meanwhile, Emperor Ichijo (Shiono Akihisa), who has become interested in the stories Mahiro (Yoshitaka) is writing, asks Mahiro about the true meaning of the stories and compares them to his own circumstances.

Mahiro then learns Akishi's true feelings...

The trailer shows Korenori (Takasugi Mahiro) and Saiin no Chujo (Kosaka Nao) being separated as they call out to each other, "Chujo no Kimi!" and "Korenori-sama!"

"To You, the Shining One" is the 63rd taiga drama. It is set in aristocratic society in the mid-Heian period and the protagonist is Murasaki Shikibu (Mahiro), who later wrote "The Tale of Genji," said to be the world's oldest novel written by a woman. The script was written by Oishi Shizuka, who is writing a taiga drama for the second time since "Komyō ga Tsuji" in 2006, and depicts the glittering world of Heian aristocrats and the life of a woman who lived, wrote, and loved with all her heart.
