The final episode of the TBS Sunday drama "Reboot," starring Ryohei Suzuki, aired on March 29th (Sundays at 9 PM). It was revealed that a certain "character" that had been speculated about on social media "actually appeared" in the show.
◇The following contains spoilers.
In the final episode, Hayase (Suzuki) and Natsumi (Toda Erika) find themselves in a desperate situation, but with the help of Fuyuhashi (Nagase Ren), they manage to escape their predicament. Furthermore, with the help of Makita (Ito Hideaki), who was thought to have betrayed them, they are able to capture Goroku (Kitamura Yukiya) and Yaichi (Ichikawa Danjuro).
However, in addition to his son Takumi (played by Ko Yazaki) and mother Yoshiko (played by Mieko Harada), Natsumi is also taken hostage at home. Furthermore, Teramoto (played by Daisuke Nakagawa), who is a spy within the police force, tries to set the house on fire, but Hayase arrives just in the nick of time, bringing the story to a happy ending.
In this film, the main topic of discussion is the identity of "Chairman Ma," a Hong Kong underworld figure who is also a big spender for Goroku. Kikuchi (played by Tsukaji Takeya) and Tamana (played by Aoki Shinsuke), an executive of the organization, were among the candidates.
Then, after the final episode aired, Aoki, who played Tamana, responded to a question on her Instagram asking, "Did Chairman Ma not appear in the end?" by saying, "Actually, Chairman Ma made a brief appearance." In response, comments such as "Chairman Ma appeared in the early episodes?" and "I didn't notice at all!" were posted.
