Visuals and promotional videos for the climax of the TV anime "Wistoria of the Staff and Sword," based on the manga by Fujino Omori, known for the popular light novel "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon (DanMachi)," have been released. Will and his friends try to survive the dungeon under desperate circumstances. The visuals show Will, who has fallen into a dangerous level during a general training session in the dungeon, and his friends standing up to it. The promotional video is made up of many action scenes from the past.
"Wistoria of the Staff and Sword" is written by Omori and illustrated by Sei Aoi, and has been serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) since December 2020. Set in a world where magic is supreme, the story depicts Will, a boy who cannot use magic at all, enrolling in a magic academy and fighting his way through despite being discouraged by the cold stares of those around him.
Kohei Amasaki will play Will, and Akira Sekine will play Will's childhood friend Elfaria Alvis Serforce, nicknamed the "secluded ice princess." The series will be directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, who was the action director for "Chainsaw Man," and produced by Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures. It airs every Sunday at 4:30 p.m. on TBS.
