Additional cast members have been announced for the TV anime "Suikoden," based on "Suikoden II," a game from the popular RPG series "Suikoden" (Konami Digital Entertainment). Jun Kasama, Megumi Han, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will be joining the cast. Kasama will play Kurgan, the most brilliant strategist of the Highland Kingdom; Matsuoka will play Seed, a fierce general of the same country; and Han will play Recknaat, who possesses the "Gate Rune," one of the 27 true runes.
It was also announced that Shota Hayama will play Gengen, Ryunosuke Watanuki will play Rikimaru, Saya Hitomi will play Riina, Mizutama Umino will play Airi, and Yusuke Sasaki will play Volgan. The fourth image visual was also released, depicting Riryu and Joey wielding their weapons, and Luca Bright with a defiant smile.
The "Suikoden" series is a fantasy RPG based on the "Water Margin" (Suikoden), with the first game released in 1995. Each game features a different setting and characters, and the second game in the series, "Suikoden II," was released in 1998.
The anime will be directed by Yuzo Sato, known for works such as "Exception," and produced by KONAMI animation, which has worked on projects such as "Suikoden II Animation Music Video." It will air in October.
