It has been announced that "Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc," a sequel to the TV anime "Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise," which is based on the popular manga by Yuuki Urushihara currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten), will be broadcast on Nippon Television's anime block "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (FuraAni)" starting in October. It has also been announced that Nobuhiko Okamoto will play the role of Nekosaki Hakure, a part-time lecturer at Rasetsu Academy, and Kento Ito will play the role of Inami Yu, also a part-time lecturer at the same school, as new cast members.
The announcement was made at an event held at "AnimeJapan 2026," which is currently taking place at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto Ward, Tokyo). Okamoto, who plays the role of Nekosaki Hakure, made a surprise appearance on stage and spoke about the voice recording sessions that have recently begun.
"Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise" is a manga series that has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" since 2020. Based on the fairy tale "Momotaro," it depicts a conflict between those with the blood of demons and those with the blood of Momotaro. It has sold over 5.5 million copies in total.
The "Kyoto Arc" and "Nerima Arc" of the TV anime were broadcast on "FuraAni" from July to December 2025.
