It has been announced that " The Santen Sensou-hen, " a sequel to the TV anime " Tokyo Revengers, " which is based on Ken Wakui 's popular manga " Tokyo Revengers ," will begin airing in October. Additional cast members have also been announced, including Naoyuki Shimotsuru as Takeomi Akashi, Shinnosuke Tachibana as Wakasa Imaushi, Takayuki Hiroki Yasumoto as Keizo Arashi, and Hiroki Yasumoto as Minami Terano.
The second promotional video has been released, beginning with a shocking scene where Mikey asks Takemichi for help. Key characters from Brahman and Rokuhara Tandai, two of the three major forces in Tokyo after the dissolution of the Tokyo Manji Gang, appear one after another, and the video ends with a memorable line from Senju, the leader of Brahman, suggesting that Takemichi will be drawn into a major turmoil.
It was also announced that a mini-anime series, "Fairy Tale Revengers Petit," will be produced. This series will feature short stories that serve as sequels to the six "Fairy Tale Revengers" episodes that were released on YouTube starting in 2024.
The manga, by Wakui, known for works such as "Shinjuku Swan," was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) from 2017 to 2022. It depicts Takemichi, a hopeless part-timer at rock bottom, seeking revenge to save his girlfriend and change himself after constantly running away. When Takemichi learns that his middle school girlfriend, Hinata, was killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang, the most vicious and evil gang, he time-leaps back to his middle school days 12 years prior, the peak of his life. A live-action film adaptation has also gained popularity.
The TV anime series "8/3 Conflict Arc" and "Bloody Halloween Arc" aired from April to September 2021, "Christmas Showdown Arc" aired from January to April 2023, and "Tenjiku Arc" aired from October to December 2023.
