A visual commemorating the decision to produce a second season of the TV anime "Tune In to the Midnight Heart," based on the romantic comedy manga by Masakuni Igarashi which is serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), was unveiled on March 29th at the "AnimeJapan 2026" event being held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto Ward, Tokyo).
The image depicts the heroines of the Kaedebayashi High School Broadcasting Club running along the beach towards the sunset. A special video has also been released that connects to the visual announcing the production of the second season, starting from a scene in episode 12 of the first season where the heroines look up at the sunset and murmur, "It's so beautiful."
"Tune In to the Midnight Heart" is a manga by Igarashi, known for works such as "Senryu Girl," which was also adapted into a TV anime, and began serialization in the magazine in September 2023. It is a romantic comedy in which second-year high school student Yamabuki Arisu searches for a streamer girl named Apollo whose face and real name he doesn't know, and meets four beautiful girls in the broadcasting club of the high school he will be attending who dream of "working in a voice-related field."
The first season of the TV anime began airing in January on Kansai TV/Fuji TV's Tuesday 11 PM anime block, "Ka-Ani-Bal!!", and concluded on March 24th.
