A special talk show for the NHK Taiga drama "Hikaru Kimi e" starring Yoshitaka Yuriko was held in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture on September 8th, and Mikami Ai, who plays Fujiwara no Shoshi, made an appearance. The day before, she visited Enryakuji Temple on Mount Hiei and saw the "Gold and Silver Treasure Flower-patterned Sutra Box" containing the Lotus Sutra that Empress Shoshi had copied herself. Mikami said, "When I learned that Shoshi had entrusted the box with her wish to 'may the people of our country live in peace,' I was reminded that she was a woman who acted for the good of her country and its people." She added, "Feeling the atmosphere here (Enryakuji Temple on Mount Hiei) and coming to a place where the scent of the Heian period still lingers, I think I will be able to expand my imagination even more and act more from now on." During the talk show, they talked about behind-the-scenes stories and highlights of the filming in Otsu City, which has deep ties to Murasaki Shikibu and the Heian period, such as Ishiyama-dera Temple, where Murasaki Shikibu is said to have gotten the idea for "The Tale of Genji."

Mikagami, who made a surprise appearance with Yoshitaka from the middle of the audience, commented, "I received the biggest cheers of my life (laughs)." She reflected, "It was my first time visiting Otsu City, but I was able to visit places such as Enryaku-ji Temple that are deeply connected to Fujiwara no Shoshi, who I play, and think about her wishes and character."

"To You is the 63rd taiga drama. Set in the aristocratic society of the mid-Heian period, the main character is Murasaki Shikibu (Mahiro), who later wrote "The Tale of Genji," said to be the oldest novel written by a woman in the world. The script was written by Oishi Shizuka, who will be writing a taiga drama for the second time since "Koumyo ga Tsuji" in 2006, and depicts the glittering world of Heian aristocrats and the life of a woman who lived, wrote and loved with all her heart.
