On September 3rd, actress Eri Fukatsu attended a special screening event with a stage greeting for the film "The Oliver the Dog, (Gosh!!) This Yarou Movie" (released September 26th, directed by Joe Odagiri) held in Tokyo. This will be Fukatsu's first film appearance in eight years, and she spoke about why she decided to appear in the film and her impression of director Joe Joe Odagiri.
This will be Fukatsu's first live-action film appearance in eight years since "Survival Family" in 2017. She will be working with Odagiri, who wrote, directed, edited, and plays the dog in this film, for the first time since they played a married couple in the NHK Asadora drama "Kumkum Everybody" in the second half of 2021.
Fukada said she first heard about this film while she was filming "Come Come Everybody," recalling, "At that time, I never thought they would ask me, so I told them I was looking forward to it, but it was quite some time after that that I received the script."
When he first read the script, he confessed, "Director Odagiri's scripts are so bizarre that they're rare to see these days (laughs). I didn't understand it at all after reading it just once." However, he revealed, "It was the first time I'd come across a script that I thought I couldn't understand at all, so I was drawn to the fact that I didn't understand it, and although I didn't know what would happen, I wanted to jump in and decided to appear in the film."
