The third episode of the fifth season of the TV drama series " Emergency Interrogation Room " (TV Asahi, Thursdays at 9 PM), starring Yuki Amami, will air on November 6th. The episode was originally scheduled to air on October 30th, but was postponed by one week due to the broadcast of Game 5 of the professional baseball "SMBC Japan Series 2025." Shigeyuki Totsugi and Takato Nagata will also make guest appearances.
In the third episode, video streamer Yuka Higuchi (Kurumi Shimizu) goes mountain climbing lightly, but gets separated from her boyfriend Haruto Kondo (Nagata), who was accompanying her, and ends up stranded. She miraculously survives, but falls unconscious and in critical condition.
Near the scene, the body of mountain rescue team member Sho Domon (Shota Hayatani) is discovered, presumably having fallen to his death during a search operation. However, an autopsy reveals the possibility of murder. There are suspicious marks of beatings and his cell phone is missing.
The person who emerges as a key witness is Fuse Masayoshi (played by Toji), the captain of the mountain rescue team who was with him until just before the incident. Fuse had saved many lives in the past and was known as the "God of the Mountains." Yukiko Makabe (played by Amami) and the "Emergency Incident Response Investigation Team (commonly known as Kintori)" questioned him, but they found that Fuse was honest and there was nothing suspicious about him.
Yukiko, suspicious of the testimony that seems to make too much sense, suggests using leading questions to sway him. However, Kajiyama Katsutoshi ( Tetsushi Tanaka), an administrator and a former member of the same university mountaineering club as Fuse, objects.
The script is by Yumiko Inoue. The popular series follows the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Emergency Response Investigation Unit, led by veteran interrogator Yukiko Makabe, as they engage in a back-and-forth psychological battle with violent criminals. The series began in 2014 and will conclude with the theatrical version of "Emergency Interrogation Room THE FINAL," which will be released on December 26th of this year.
