On September 3rd, singer and actor Masaharu Fukuyama appeared with Kasumi Arimura at the Seibu Shinjuku PePe Plaza (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo) for an event just before the release of his starring movie "Black Showman" (directed by Ryo Tanaka, scheduled for release on September 12th).
The film is based on a novel by Higashino Keigo. Former junior high school teacher Kamio Eiichi (Nakamura Toru) is murdered by an unknown assailant. His daughter, Kamio Mayo (Arimura), who was due to be married in two months, receives the sudden news of his death and returns to her hometown. Wanting to know the truth about why Eiichi was killed, Mayo is visited by her uncle, Kamio Takeshi (Fukuyama). Armed with his exceptional magic tricks, his wicked sleight of hand, and his mentalist-level skill in people observation and leading questions, Mayo takes on the mystery of the murder... this is the story.
