"Aiba Hiromi's Troubles?" (TV Asahi, Thursdays at 7pm, excluding some areas) is a variety show in which Arashi's Aiba Masaki and TV personality Hiromi try their best to solve problems from all over the country. On November 6th, a two-hour special will be aired, in which they will attempt to solve three problems.
One was a request from a mother who wanted to do something for her son who was getting married and leaving home five days later. When Aiba and Hiromi found out that their son and his wife hadn't had a wedding ceremony, they suggested a surprise wedding. They gathered relatives and the son and his wife's friends, with Hiromi acting as the couple's attendant and Aiba acting as the pastor. Aiba was nervous about playing the role of pastor for the first time in his life, but he received a lecture from a real pastor and worked hard at rehearsals before the day of the ceremony.
They also received a request from a group of three men who manage a temple located deep in the mountains at an altitude of about 700 meters, asking them to "cut down a dangerous tree that stands on the rocky mountain above the temple and is in danger of falling at any moment." With the cooperation of forestry professionals, Hiromi cuts down the tree with a chainsaw, and Aiba uses equipment to pull the tree so that it doesn't fall on the main hall, in a two-stage process.
They also responded to a request from the proprietress of an inn in Ogano Town, Saitama Prefecture, who asked them to clean up the moss-covered and creepy hot spring facility. The inn had been left untouched for about 20 years and was in a dilapidated state due to the elderly caretaker's inability to keep up, so the two transformed it.
