A related event to the retrospective exhibition "Yoshikazu Yoshikazu Yasuhiko ," showcasing the work of Yoshikazu Yasuhiko , known for his character designs for the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam" and also active as a manga artist, will be held on July 20th at the Tendo City Civic Culture Hall (Tendo City, Yamagata Prefecture). The event is titled "Why Do I Keep Drawing? 'Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN' and ' Lookback '."
Yasuhiko and Kiyotaka Oshiyama , the director of the theatrical anime " Lookback, " will have a conversation, and " Lookback" and "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN II: Artesia's Sorrow" will be screened. In anticipation of the event, Yasuhiko commented, "Oshiyama-san, I'll be waiting for you in Tendo! Please be gentle with me."
The event has a capacity of 1100 people, and is conducted by lottery. Advance registration is required. Applications are being accepted until July 1st.
"Yoshikazu Yoshikazu Yasuhiko" is a retrospective exhibition tracing the trajectory of Yasuhiko's creative activities from his childhood to the present day. It is currently being held at the Tendo City Museum of Art until August 23rd. It will also be held at Nobeoka Castle and Naito Memorial Museum (Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture) from November 21st to March 7th, 2027.
