It has been announced that " Tabekko Dobutsu THE MOVIE," an animated film based on the popular snack " Tabekko Dobutsu " (Ginbis), will be exclusively available for unlimited streaming on Amazon's video streaming service "Prime Video" from 12:00 AM on June 1st.
In " Tabekko Dobutsu THE MOVIE,"the Tabekko Dobutsu characters take on a mission to defeat an enemy plotting world domination. In Sweetsland, where sweets and humans live together in harmony, the singing and dancing super idol group "Tabekko Dobutsu" is incredibly popular. However, the most evil cotton candy army, aiming to eliminate all sweets in the world and conquer it, captures Pegasus-chan. For the sake of their precious friend, the fluffy and Tabekko Dobutsu, who have zero fighting ability, rise up to take on the 1000% impossible mission of rescuing Pegasus-chan.
Directed by Hitoshi Takekiyo of "After School Midnighters," and produced by Marza Animation Planet, known for "Lupin the Third THE FIRST," "Sonic the Hedgehog," and "Captain Harlock," the film garnered attention for featuring Genta Matsuda of the popular group "Travis Japan" as the voice actor for the main character, Lion-kun. It was released in May 2025.
It has also been announced that the official pop-up event "Tabekko Dobutsu THE MOVIE Mofumofu SHOP," which has previously been held in Tokyo, Aichi, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka, will be held again in Tokyo. It will take place from June 27th to July 5th at Calendarium 5 on the 6th floor of Shinjuku Marui Annex (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo).
