Matsuko Deluxe and Hiroyuki Ariyoshi's show, "Matsuko & Ariyoshi Karisome Tengoku" (TV Asahi), aired on May 8th, marking Matsuko's return after approximately two months.
Upon seeing Matsuko return from neck surgery, Ariyoshi said, "I thought you might have lost a little weight, but now that I've actually seen you today, you haven't lost any weight at all!" Matsuko smiled and replied, "The food (while I was in the hospital) was delicious, too."
She continued, "They served fish that was properly nutritionally managed, so it wasn't painful at all," and added, "It's amazing. Hospital food these days is delicious," revealing that she didn't have any trouble with the food.
On the other hand, after being discharged from the hospital, she said, "I ate fried chicken (in a bento box in the dressing room) for the first time in several months," and added, "It might have been different if it had been freshly fried, but I could only eat half of it," indicating that her food preferences had changed.
"After being discharged from the hospital, I wanted to eat junk food. I had a hamburger and it was delicious, but I think once a month is enough. I think I'll gradually eat lighter food. You won't see the super-toned Matsuko anymore," she said.
