On May 8th, singer Naoko Ken appeared in a pre-recorded segment on NHK's morning information program "Asaichi" (Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM). She passionately spoke about the appeal of the popular band "Mrs. Green Apple."
On that day, Ken, who is said to be a "best friend" of Mrs. GREEN APPLE's Motoki Omori, Hiroto Wakai, and Ryoka Fujisawa, who appeared as guests in the studio of the program, sent a video message to them.
Ken shared his impressions of the three members' personalities, saying, "Mokkun (Omori) is a genius. He's a bundle of talent." "Wakaii is a wild child. Sometimes he gets a little carried away, but Ryo-chan (Fujisawa) is kind to him. He's like an angel."
Furthermore, Ken laughed and said, "You could say Omori is a once-in-a-century talent. And we have Omori, Ryo-chan, and Wakai. I'm deliberately calling them by their first names," and explained, "This love triangle is really great."
He continued, "Mokkun has incredible talent and leads the two of them. Sometimes the two of them become the foundation and support Mokkun. I think they have a really good relationship. They are treasures of Japan, so please take good care of them."
Regarding the appeal of Mrs. GREEN APPLE, Ken said, "They are artists. Of course they are musicians, but they go beyond that. If you see them perform live, you'll understand, but they turn every venue into a theme park." He praised them highly, saying, "They start with the first note and instantly create the atmosphere of Mrs. GREEN APPLE. Mokkun's singing voice captivates everyone from the very first note."
