The fifth episode of the drama series "Toki Sude ni Osushi!?" (TBS, Tuesdays at 10 PM), starring actress Hiromi Nagasaku, aired on May 5th, and it has been revealed that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region) was 5.7% for households and 3.2% for individuals. The household viewership rating is a slight increase from the 5.5% of the fourth episode aired the previous week.
The drama tells the story of Minato Machiyama (played by Nagasaku), who, having finished raising her children, is bewildered by the newfound free time she has at the age of 50, but begins her second life and jumps into a "sushi academy" where she can become a sushi chef in three months. The cast includes Kenichi Matsuyama, First Summer Uika, Motoki Nakazawa, Soma Santoki, and Shiro Sano.
Episode 5 was titled "Getting Caught Up in a Rolled Sushi."
The classes at the Sushi Academy are halfway through. Minato and the others are having a career consultation with Oedo (Matsuyama), but Minato is at a loss because he hasn't thought about what he'll do after graduation, and Mori (Soma Santoki), who was supposed to be aiming to become a sushi chef, also seems downcast. Just then, Mori's mother, Atsuko (Sato Eriko), storms into the Sushi Academy in a fit of rage.
It was revealed that Mori had secretly dropped out of university without telling his family and enrolled in an academy to take over his grandfather Katsumi's (Denden-san) struggling sushi restaurant. Meanwhile, Minato, as a fellow mother, tries to support the volatile Atsuko... and so the story unfolds.
