A 6-minute clip of the climactic scene from episode 5, "The Labyrinth of the Giant Dragon," of the TV anime "Atelier of Witch Hat," based on the manga by Kamome Shirahama, has been released on YouTube. It will be available for free for a limited time until June 30th. Episode 5, which aired on May 4th, depicted the protagonist Coco and her atelier friends confronting a gigantic giant dragon with magic they created by combining their wisdom. The breathtaking visual beauty of the climax scene in particular garnered praise from viewers, with comments such as "A legendary episode that will go down in history," "Perfect direction of sound and visuals," and "It's theatrical film quality," making it a hot topic.
"Atelier of Witch Hat" tells the story of Coco, a girl who longs to be a wizard, as she steps into the mysterious world of magic. The series began serialization in "Monthly Morning Two" (Kodansha) in 2016, and has sold over 7.5 million copies. It has been selected for manga awards in France, Spain, South Korea, and other countries, and in 2020 won the Eisner Award for Best Asian Work, attracting attention from around the world.
