Ryusei Fujii of the popular group "WEST." recently appeared at a press conference in Tokyo for the Sunday 10pm drama "Error" (ABC TV/TV Asahi network, Sundays at 10:15pm), which starts on April 12th. He spoke passionately about changing his pajamas every day.
At the press conference, in keeping with the film's theme of "how far can we forgive other people's mistakes," the cast members participated in a segment where they discussed things they absolutely cannot forgive. Fujii wrote "not changing their pajamas every day" on a flip chart and said, "I think there are surprisingly many people who wear their pajamas for two or three days (without washing them), and I can't stand that."
When Yoshinori Okada objected, saying that pajamas are "acceptable" because they are worn after bathing, Fujii argued that you sweat even while sleeping. "Sweat just dries, but you sweat a lot more than you think. Bacteria also multiply, so it's like you're sleeping with germs!" he explained. For this reason, he said that when he stays overnight on tours, he brings several pairs of pajamas with him, and revealed that "my suitcase is overflowing."
On the other hand, Mirai Shida agreed with Fujii's opinion. "I absolutely cannot forgive that! That's why if I sweat a little in the middle of the night, I change my clothes," she said.
The drama stars Mei Hata and Shida in a double lead role, and is a human suspense story in which Yume Nakata (Hata), who caused the death of a certain woman, and Mio Osako (Shida), the only daughter of the deceased woman, develop a friendship without knowing the truth, and are eventually torn between guilt and friendship. The original script was written by Sakiko Yashiro and selected by the "WDR Project," a script development team established by NHK. Fujii plays Kenji Sakuma, Yume's senior colleague at work and her boyfriend.
