As part of the 10th-anniversary project for the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans," the special edited version of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urðr Hunt," titled "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urðr Hunt - The Path of a Small Challenger -" and the new short film "Interlude Wedge" have had their original retailer-specific purchase bonuses for the limited-edition Blu-ray Disc (BD) and DVD releases revealed.
The design features seven newly drawn illustrations by character designer Michinori Chiba and two newly drawn illustrations by chief mechanical animator Hiroshi Arisawa. In addition to Mikazuki Augus, Orga Itsuka, McGillis Fareed, Gaelio Bauduin, Wistario Afam, Cornal Kosa, and Katchua Inosy, the Gundam Barbatos Adapt and Gundam Hajiroboshi are also depicted.
The bonus disc will include footage of the daytime and evening performances of the "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 10th Anniversary Event - Tekkadan Festival -" held on February 25th at Tachikawa Stage Garden (Tachikawa City, Tokyo), footage of the public recording of the revived "Tekkadan Broadcasting Station" to commemorate the 10th anniversary, footage of the stage greetings to commemorate the release of the specially edited version and the new short film, footage of the third talk-show screening, and a motion comic with newly recorded voiceovers of "A Story of the Future," a manga drawn by Yu Ito, the original character designer, which was included in the bonus booklet distributed to theatergoers.
The included bonus items are a storyboard collection for "Interlude," a newly drawn manga by Ito titled "Iron-Blooded Days," a 10th-anniversary short story sheet for "Orphenchu of 3rd Street," and an ending illustration sheet for "Interlude." The storage box will feature newly drawn illustrations by Chiba and Arisawa. It will be released on September 25th.
"Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" is set approximately 300 years after the end of a major war known as the Calamity War, and depicts the battles of Mikazuki Augus and the Tekkadan. The first season aired from October 2015 to March 2016, and the second season aired from October 2016 to April 2017.
A special edited version of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urðr Hunt," titled "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urðr Hunt - The Path of a Small Challenger -," was released in theaters on October 31, 2026. "Urðr Hunt" is an anime distributed through the smartphone app "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans G," based on "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans."
The short film "Makuai no Kusabi" (The Wedge Between Acts), which was screened alongside the TV anime, was directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and written by Mari Okada.
