On February 1st, Atsuki Masuko of the dance and vocal group "GENIC" appeared at the launch event for the 2026 calendar "Atsuki Masuko Calendar 2026.04-2027.03" (KADOKAWA) at HMV & BOOKS SHIBUYA (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo).
Masuko played the role of Two Kaiser/Zox Gold Twiker in the 45th anniversary Super Sentai series "Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger" (2021-2022), and made his breakthrough in the BL (boys' love) drama "Taikan Yoho" (MBS, 2023). He is also active as an actor, having played the role of Haku in the stage production "Spirited Away."
The calendar is set in Shanghai, China, where she visited for the stage production of "Spirited Away," and is made up of "super beautiful shots" that were taken with a focus on costumes and situations, as well as her relaxed "true self" that she shows in Japan. Masuko expressed her joy at the release, saying, "Calendars can brighten up the daily lives of many people. I would be happy if my wonderful photos can brighten everyone's days."
When asked to rate the finished product, she proudly stated, "I gave myself a perfect score of 100 for each month," and then smiled, "multiplying that by 12 gives me 1200 points. Thank you very much!"
When asked about his future goals, he smiled and said, "I want to play roles I've never encountered before, and appear in a variety of films and dramas, such as morning dramas and historical dramas... I want to gain as much experience as possible." GENIC's goal is a "world tour," and he added with a touch of humor, "Personally, I've had the opportunity to go to Shanghai (for the Spirited Away performance) and London, so I'm already a 'man of the world,' so I'm going to aim for the world."
