"THE CONTE," a variety show that brings together Japan's leading comedians to perform their "most confident skits," will be broadcast on January 31st in the "Saturday Premium" time slot (Saturdays at 9 PM). This will be the seventh episode, the first broadcast in 10 months since March of last year. The MCs will be the comedy trio "Tokyo 03," the second-time champions of "King of Conte" (TBS), and the comedy duo "Kamaitachi," the tenth-time champions, who will also perform their own skits.
The 16 acts appearing this time are Tokyo 03 and Kamaitachi, as well as Ungirls, Saraba Seishun no Hikari, Sandwichman, JaruJaru, Chocolate Planet, Dow 90000, Don Decollete, Nicche, Nippon no Shachou, New York, Baikingu, Hanako, Rainbow, and Long Coat Daddy (in alphabetical order).
In addition to regulars Chocolate Planet, who have always attended "THE CONTE," and New York and Hanako, who will be making their sixth appearance, three groups will be making their first appearance: Nippon no Shachou, the first winner of the comedy award race "Double Impact - The Battle to Determine the No. 1 Manzai & Conte Two-Sword Style" (Nippon TV/Yomiuri TV), which began last year; Nichie, winner of "The Battle to Determine the No. 1 Female Comedian THE W 2025" (Nippon TV); and Don Decollete, runner-up of "M-1 Grand Prix 2025" (Asahi Broadcasting/TV Asahi).
Additionally, former Hinatazaka46 member Kyoko Saito, who is known to be a fan of comedy, will be narrating the introductions of the 16 groups that will appear in the studio.
Tokyo 03's Iizuka Satoshi commented, "The skit we'll be performing is, of course, a new one that we'll be showing on TV for the first time! It's my favorite from our recent solo live shows, and we've brought a long piece that we could never do on any other TV show."
Kamaitachi's Hamada Ryuichi said, "Most of the material we performed this time has only ever been done in theaters. We deliberately brought something that we don't usually show in the media. I hope you'll pay attention to Yamauchi and I's foul mouth and nasty arguments."
