The interim results of the annual "2026 Manga Ranking for Anime Adaptation" project of AnimeJapan, one of the world's largest anime events, have been announced, revealing that works such as Konoshimaruka's "Utsuranai desu" and Kanazawa Shinnosuke's "Company and Private Life" have made it into the top 10.
Other works in the top 10 include Inoue's "#Gal and Gal Yuri," Anmori Toru's "Centuria," Mochimoto Moyo's "A Divorced Man with a Child, His Last Love Was a Swamp," Yamashita Masahiro's original story and Ugami Takamasa's illustrations "A Socially Awkward Man Goes to Another World," Sumiyoshi Kyu's "Thank You Pitch," Kinoshita Itaru's "Dino Sun," mmk's "The Guy Sitting Next to Me Looks at Me That Way," and Hoshino Makoto's "Isagi the Dragon-Sending Man."
Voting is open until January 30th. The top 10 will be announced at the "Manga Ranking 2026 Most Wanted to be Adapted into Anime Awards Ceremony" to be held on March 4th. The winning promotional videos will be screened on the public day of "AnimeJapan 2026", which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto Ward, Tokyo) on March 28th and 29th.
The results of the "2026 Indie Game Ranking for Anime Adaptation" will also be announced at AnimeJapan 2026. This is a new project in which the public will vote to select the title they would most like to see adapted into an anime from a total of 35 domestic indie games selected by BitSummit, Japan's largest indie game festival.
