The ninth episode of NHK's evening drama "Kaedama Bravo!" (General TV, Monday to Thursday, 10:45 p.m.), starring actress Kana Kita, was broadcast on January 19th, and featured comedian Koume Tayu.
The drama is an original work by playwright and director Kishimoto Ayuka, and is a slightly dark comedy for adults that combines friendship, ramen, and classical ballet.
In the ninth episode, Karina (Kita) receives a package at her home. It is a set of popular ramen noodles that she had purchased with Yumi (Amano Hana) six months ago. Karina enrolls in a ballet class for adults where Yumi teaches part-time.
Koume plays Yamaki Takeaki, a student at an adult ballet school. He is one of the members who welcomes Yumi to join, and interacts with her in his natural state.
Viewers responded on social media with comments such as, "Where was Koume Dayu in it? The ballet guy...?", "Wait, Yamaki-san is Koume Dayu? I had no idea," "And that man in the ballet class was Koume Dayu?" and "Koume Dayu is just talking normally."
Furthermore, this will be Koume's second appearance in a drama on the same network, following "Drama 10 'Tokyo Salad Bowl,'" "Saturday Drama 'I Want to Die Alone,'" and "Taiga Drama ' UNBOUND (Berabou).'" Comments such as "The great actor Koume Tayu makes an appearance," and "NHK really likes seeing Koume Tayu without makeup" have been received.
