The 75th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and other times), starring Akari Takaishi , was broadcast on January 16th, and viewers were drawn to the interaction between Toki (Takaishi) and Heaven ( Tommy Bastow).
Toki finds Heaven eating Western food without her family's knowledge. She is lied to and told that she has a meeting with Nishikori (Ryo Yoshizawa Ryo), and explodes in anger, wondering if Heaven's food, cooked by her and Fumi (Chizuru Ikewaki), doesn't suit her taste.
Heaven confesses that after her move was published in the newspaper, citizens began flocking to her house, and she was expected to behave like a Japanese person, such as sitting upright and picking fish bones. "It's a bit tiring..." Heaven confesses. Having lived a lonely life, she couldn't betray the family she had finally formed, and so she couldn't tell them the truth. Toki tells her that because they are family, she wants them to be honest with each other, and the two apologize to each other and make up.
The next morning, Toki stops Heaven before she goes to work, points to her cheek, and asks for a kiss on the cheek, a Western greeting. Toki had previously been shy and refused the kiss, but Heaven asks, "Really?" and gently kisses Toki on both cheeks as he shyly nods. Toki sends her off with a smile, saying, "Have a good day, Heaven," calling her "Heaven" for the first time.
Comments on social media about the exchange between Toki and Heaven included, "My heart is pounding," "They look so happy," "It was so cute I cried," "Toki was so cute when he accepted the goodbye kiss even though he was embarrassed," "Heaven-sensei looks so happy," and "It was just a parade of heart-fluttering moments."
Attention was also drawn to Nishikori, who looked away from the two kissing, with comments such as "Nishikori is the best," "Nishikori is so cute," and "They've made up, and on Friday we'll get to see Nishikori looking away from the goodbye kiss! It looks like we're having a great weekend."
